Sewing box

I wanted to make a nice present for a friend of mine with whom I share birthdays and since I know she likes sewing I thought of this little box. She has not got a lot of room where she lives at the moment so I didn't want to lumber her with a great big thing and thought this little version would be perfect. Now lets hope she likes it. It's made out of a 12x12 piece of card and recovered in fabric. I have also added a bit of padding on the inside to make it more lush and so she can use it to prick pins when she's not using them. I haven't given it to her yet, so let's hope she'll like it (and that she doesn't read this before I give it to her or that could seriously kill the surprise!). She's away on holidays at the moment so I think I m safe....

Jewellery box

A little jewellery box created from cereal boxes , docraft paper flowers as well as flowers created with various sizzix dies. The owl stamp is from Leane Creatief  and the papers I used are my mind's eye "29th street market". The hinge is actually a brad from seven gypsies. It is about the size of a large card so ideal for decoration on a chest of drawers in a little girl's room (which is exactly where it's ended up I hear!).

Cracker gift box

This was a small cracker made for my younger daughter as a gift box for her sister. The gift was nail varnish and fitted just right. I thought this one was a cutie! I can't remember exactly where I got the template but if anyone wants it I will find it... I am thinking of turning it into a cutting file for the cameo....

Forum Christmas exchange

These items were all part of my Christmas present from an exchange organised by les ateliers du scrap forum. All these lovely things were created by severine and in exchange I sent her what I produce according to the list we were provided with. We had to supply :
A room perfume with it's box
A soap in a pretty box
A nail file in its own case
A flower containing bath pearls to hand on the tree
A handmade box of chocolate
A christmas card and a tag to put on the tree (the last two got put away with the xmas deco before I remembered to take a picture!

The colour theme was  (you guessed it !!) white with a hint of colour.

I hope you will agree with me but Severine surpassed herself. I loved all of it!

Back Pack

It was my eldest daughter's birthday  on Sunday. Fourteen years old! I still remember the day they handed her to me at the hospital after 19 hours labour and a caesarian...  I just thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever done!!  She now gives me advice on how to structure my essays and tells me off when I get distracted and surf the web instead of working!!! Things change don't they?!  Anyway I have been so busy with studies (as you have noticed from my previous posts!!) I didn't really have time to go shopping for her present. She wanted some new "converse" so I ordered those online but she also wanted a back pack (apparently they're back in fashion...) and I couldn't find anything. My sister had offered me a backpack template a few weeks ago and I thought that would be the perfect time to put it to good use!  So instead of making her a card I made her this little bag which I filled with bracelets I made for her.  She loved it! It did take me over an hour to make but it was worth it don't you think? For the file with template and instructions it's this way

Treasure box

I made this one a few weeks ago to give some jewellery to a friend for her birthday. The border is a marianne die cut, the green foliage is sizzix and the flower is a mixture of docraft flowers with a sizzix die petal. I made the box with my crafter's companion box maker. Et voila!

Box card

This card was part of the Christmas Advent Calendar challenge for l'Atelier à Scrap. I didn't even have time to post it on their site so I thought I'd show it to you instead! I really enjoyed that project. It's a little time consuming but well worth it don't you think? The background paper is a free paper again from a craft mag (can't remember which one) and so are the label and the mannequin

The doily is a Cheery Lynn die cut. The brown flower is a pink mulberry which I inked with distressd walnut from the Range. This was a bit weird as it didn't seem to ever dry completely despite the fact that I left it on the radiator for a couple of days!

Cute present

I have been so busy with Christmas shopping and preparations that I haven't had much time to craft. However I did manage this little box for a friend's present. If you fancy having a go yourself here is the template.
