Jewellery box

A little jewellery box created from cereal boxes , docraft paper flowers as well as flowers created with various sizzix dies. The owl stamp is from Leane Creatief  and the papers I used are my mind's eye "29th street market". The hinge is actually a brad from seven gypsies. It is about the size of a large card so ideal for decoration on a chest of drawers in a little girl's room (which is exactly where it's ended up I hear!).

White corset card

This one was for my mums birthday. She loves dancing and I thought the "skirt" looked very dancy! The body is cut from a template (you can find it on my template page) and was embossed with a sizzix folder (flowers). The fringe and ribbon are from my stash which I normally get in Birmingham rag market. The only thing with this particular card is that you have to enclose a separate little note that you slip in from the top so you don't have to open the ribbon at the front. You could however modify the template and make the card open at the side instead. Up to you folks!

Christmas wreath

This year christmas wreath adapted from last year's! I found it a bit bland last year so I added some coloured cones this year all fixed on with mount spray.  And there you have it a brand new wreath!

Cracker gift box

This was a small cracker made for my younger daughter as a gift box for her sister. The gift was nail varnish and fitted just right. I thought this one was a cutie! I can't remember exactly where I got the template but if anyone wants it I will find it... I am thinking of turning it into a cutting file for the cameo....

Forum Christmas exchange

These items were all part of my Christmas present from an exchange organised by les ateliers du scrap forum. All these lovely things were created by severine and in exchange I sent her what I produce according to the list we were provided with. We had to supply :
A room perfume with it's box
A soap in a pretty box
A nail file in its own case
A flower containing bath pearls to hand on the tree
A handmade box of chocolate
A christmas card and a tag to put on the tree (the last two got put away with the xmas deco before I remembered to take a picture!

The colour theme was  (you guessed it !!) white with a hint of colour.

I hope you will agree with me but Severine surpassed herself. I loved all of it!

How lucky am I?!

For once I can say I was very lucky and spoiled by my other half, since he bought me my very own Silhouette Cameo as a Christmas gift.  To be fair, I had been hinting heavily for some time, like leaving the computer on opened on the Silhouette website, and various other pages on google showing the object of my desires... ! Plus, my elder daughter was instructed where to order it from, should the question arise... and it did! A plan well executed if you ask me....mwah, ah ah! (that's my evil laugh if you hadn't gathered! lol). Actually, I am not that devious, and had said that he didn't have to get me anything at all, but obviously if he wanted to, all the clues were there! I just didn't want to end up with another expensive piece of jewellery that I would be too scared to wear, in case I lost it! Plus I'll get more use out of the Cameo than I would have out of jewellery... (especially since we have very different ideas of what constitutes taste, bless him...)
Here are some of my very first tries with designs downloaded from silhouette america and free ones supplied with the machine.
Oh... and if you like the little keyring bought for me by Evlin you can find similar ones here. I am hoping to create some designs of my own soon so watch this space as they say...

A gift for a friend

I haven't posted for a while but don't think I have been lazy and forgot you my friends! Not at all... I have been very busy so I will try and upload some of my new creations over the next few weeks (although thenext few months are looking pretty busy too!).
Here is a jewellery set I made for a very good friend of mine as a Xmas gift. She loved it and I must admit I was tempted to keep it for myself but I have so much costume jewellery that I have ran out of nooks and crannies to hide them in.....! So I had to let it go - plus to be fair it was created with her in mind so I felt a bit like a surrogate mum...

I hope you like it!
